Job Summary

As a Grid Calculation Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting grid operations for a renowned energy provider in Cottbus. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve performing grid calculations for generation plants under 30 kVA, including short-circuit and load-flow analysis using Excel-based applications. You will also calculate voltage drops, assess equipment utilization, and verify protective settings. Additionally, you will utilize internal Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for technical planning, determine optimal connection points and necessary grid expansions, and maintain technical evaluation tables. You will serve as a key point of contact for internal departments and customers regarding grid-related inquiries. This role requires a strong background in electrical engineering and a methodical approach to data analysis. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training in electrical engineering (e.g., Electronics Technician for Energy and Building Technology or equivalent).

Experience

  • Professional experience in electrical engineering or a related technical field
  • Experience with MS Office applications for technical calculations
  • Experience with grid calculation software or tools such as FRIEDA, HarNES, or iConnect is highly desirable
