Job Summary
The International Neuroscience Institute (INI) Hannover is seeking a dedicated Biological Technical Assistant or Medical Laboratory Technician to join their specialized neurosurgery research team. This role is part of a federally funded research project focused on elective neurosurgery and advanced neurological studies. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing in-vitro cell cultures, processing human blood samples, managing tumor sample biobanking, and conducting molecular biological assays such as qRT-PCR, Western Blot, and immunohistochemistry. You will also handle general laboratory organization, including equipment maintenance and reagent procurement, while supporting project leaders and doctoral candidates with biosafety compliance. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a highly specialized, international clinical and research environment. The role requires a strong background in laboratory techniques, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team. This is a 50% part-time position with a two-year contract, offering professional development in a cutting-edge clinical research setting.
