Job Summary
This role offers an exciting opportunity to join the NOWUM-Energy Institute at FH Aachen as a Research Associate and PhD candidate within the interdisciplinary SYNERGAS project. You will focus on scaling microbial hydrogen production from biogenic residues, specifically transitioning laboratory results to a container-based pilot plant. Your day-to-day responsibilities include managing the procurement, optimization, and operation of this pilot facility, coordinating with industry partners, and contributing to scientific publications and project reports. Furthermore, you will mentor students and assist in supervising academic theses. This position is ideal for a candidate passionate about biotechnology and process engineering who seeks to conduct high-impact research while pursuing a doctoral degree in a collaborative, innovative environment.
Required Skills
Education
Master's degree in Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related discipline.
Experience
- Professional experience in biotechnological or process engineering laboratory environments
