Job Summary
As a PostgreSQL Database Specialist at ORDIX AG, you will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing database landscapes for diverse clients in the finance, industry, and public sectors. Your day-to-day responsibilities include designing, operating, and troubleshooting PostgreSQL databases, as well as executing complex migrations from on-premises environments to the cloud. You will also assist clients with provisioning and automation tasks to streamline their infrastructure. A core component of this role is knowledge sharing; you will be encouraged to mentor colleagues, contribute to the company blog, and present at seminars or industry conferences. Required Skills
Education
University degree in Computer Science or a comparable completed vocational training in IT.
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in PostgreSQL administration
- Experience in the administration of commercial databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, Db2) or other open-source databases (e.g., MySQL, MariaDB) is considered a plus
- Practical experience with provisioning and automation tools such as Ansible or Terraform is desirable
- Experience working with various cloud providers like Google, Azure, or Oracle
