As a Coordinator for Radiological Monitoring at the KIT Campus North, you will lead the coordination office responsible for monitoring wastewater, exhaust air, and environmental radiation. Your day-to-day work involves planning, controlling, and documenting all radiation protection processes, defining requirements for new installations and maintenance, and ensuring rigorous quality assurance. You will manage cross-group workflows, handle regulatory reporting for emission thresholds, and prepare comprehensive reports for internal stakeholders and external authorities. A key aspect of the role is maintaining close collaboration with facility operators, central radiation protection teams, and nuclear regulatory authorities. You will also negotiate exhaust air plans, manage soil excavation protocols, and develop emergency measurement programs, including staff training. Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree (Diploma or Master's) in Natural Sciences or Engineering.

Experience

  • Many years of professional experience in radiation and environmental protection.
  • Practical experience in evaluating nuclear facilities and operational sites regarding organizational and technical radiation protection requirements.
  • Experience in managing regulatory reporting and interacting with external authorities.
