Job Summary

As an IT Operations Team Lead for the Galileo satellite navigation mission, you will provide both technical and organizational leadership for a team operating the Galileo ground segment in Oberpfaffenhofen. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve managing daily operations, prioritizing incidents and changes, and ensuring service quality through strict adherence to SLAs and KPIs. You will act as a critical interface between Level-1, Level-3, and engineering teams, while also serving as a 2nd-level engineer to resolve complex system issues. This role is unique because it offers the opportunity to contribute to a high-stakes, security-critical European space program. You will be responsible for coaching team members, driving process improvements, and managing stakeholder communications. The position requires a highly structured, analytical professional capable of navigating complex IT infrastructures while fostering a collaborative environment within an international team. This is a long-term, permanent position based exclusively on-site.
