Job Summary
As a Civil Engineer in our Planning and Construction department, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and developing the municipal infrastructure of Flensburg. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include managing projects for road construction, maintenance, and specialized structural engineering tasks, with a particular focus on harbor edge renovations. You will independently assess project requirements, oversee external engineering contracts, and conduct technical reviews of planning documents. This position is ideal for a professional who enjoys a mix of office-based planning and on-site project oversight. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of infrastructure projects, from initial planning to final implementation. The role offers a stable, permanent full-time position within a public service environment, providing the opportunity to contribute directly to the city's urban development and maritime infrastructure.
Required Skills
Education
Completed degree (Diploma or Master's) in Civil Engineering from a University or University of Applied Sciences.
Experience
- Professional experience in civil engineering, specifically in structural or road construction
- Experience in project management and the oversight of external engineering services
- Experience in technical planning and implementation of infrastructure projects
