Job Summary

As a Civil Engineer in the Water Management department, you will play a vital role in protecting and managing water resources in Upper Austria. Your day-to-day responsibilities include preparing technical reports and expert opinions on geohydrology and groundwater protection for regulatory proceedings. You will act as a consultant for stakeholders, inspect facilities to ensure compliance with water laws, and participate in hydrology on-call duties and emergency oil spill response. The position requires a degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering, or geosciences. You should be a communicative professional capable of explaining complex technical matters clearly. Required Skills

Education

Diploma from a Higher Technical Institute (HTL) in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Economics; Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Technology, or Geosciences; or equivalent qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience in geohydrology or water management is considered an advantage.
  • Experience in technical report writing and regulatory procedures is implied by the role requirements.
