Job Summary

The Technical University of Munich is seeking a Junior Scientist, preferably a Physicist or someone with an equivalent natural science background, to join their Radiochemistry Munich (RCM) unit. This full-time, initially fixed-term position (until February 28, 2028, with extension potential) involves the maintenance and support of radiation measurement systems, specifically in gamma spectroscopy, radiography, and tomography. The successful candidate will contribute to R&D projects focused on non-destructive characterization of radioactive waste containers, prepare project reports, and perform measurements using various gamma scanning techniques. The role also includes supporting system development, other ZTWB projects, and tasks related to object security, IT security, and radiation protection. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented and collaborative scientist to contribute to cutting-edge research in a university setting.
