As an MES Tech Lead and Software Architect, you will spearhead the technical evolution of a central production software platform. Your day-to-day responsibilities include leading the development team through mentorship and technical decision-making, designing scalable and maintainable software architectures, and ensuring high system performance and quality through code reviews and CI/CD strategies. You will bridge the gap between production software and enterprise systems like ERP and SCADA, while actively integrating AI-driven tools into the DevOps lifecycle to enhance efficiency. This role is ideal for an experienced professional looking to shape the technological roadmap of a leading European aluminum recycling and rolling company. You will work in a collaborative, agile environment, balancing architectural integrity with pragmatic delivery to support industrial-scale production processes.
Required Skills
Education
Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a comparable qualification.
Experience
- 5+ years of experience in the architecture and development of complex enterprise software
- Professional experience in production-related environments such as MES, automation, logistics, or Industry 4.0
- Professional experience in backend and frontend development
- Professional experience with agile methodologies like Scrum or Kanban
- Demonstrated leadership experience in technical team management and mentoring
