Job Summary
As the Political Managing Director for Bavaria's largest nature conservation association, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the organization's strategic direction and political influence. Working closely with the State Board and leadership team, you will be responsible for defining content priorities, managing political strategy, and ensuring the association's effective representation at national and international levels. Day-to-day, you will act as a bridge-builder between internal stakeholders and external political entities, overseeing the alignment of conservation goals with communication, marketing, and fundraising initiatives. This role requires a visionary leader capable of balancing tradition with innovation. You will guide the organization through change-management processes, foster a culture of participation, and inspire both staff and volunteers. Required Skills
Education
Completed university degree in a relevant field (e.g., Biology, Environmental Science, Political Science, or related disciplines).
Experience
- Several years of professional experience in associations, clubs, or NGOs.
- Proven leadership experience in a professional capacity.
- Demonstrated experience in collaborating with and managing volunteer-based organizations.
- Experience in steering participation processes and implementing organizational change.
