Job Summary

This pivotal role involves establishing and managing the external branch of the Swiss Drone and Robotics Center (SDRZ) in Payerne. You will act as a crucial liaison between various armasuisse departments and the Swiss Aeropole Technology Park, focusing on the advancement of robotics technology. Key responsibilities include leading complex research, innovation, and testing projects related to security robotics, planning and executing technical trials in collaboration with internal and external partners (academia, industry, VBS). The ideal candidate holds a university degree in Engineering Sciences and possesses strong initiative, a critical mindset, and a passion for working in a dynamic, multilingual environment (French, German, English). This position offers a unique opportunity to shape Switzerland's security robotics landscape within a federal R&D context.

Required Skills

Education

University Degree (Hochschulabschluss) in Engineering Sciences, ideally with knowledge or strong interest in security procedures, risk management, drones, and robotics.

Experience

  • Professional experience in building up and establishing organizational branches or external sites.
  • Experience in leading research, innovation, and testing projects in security robotics or related technological fields.
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with research and industrial partners (academia, industry).
