Job Summary

This role involves supporting advanced biomedical research at the University Hospital Essen, specifically within the Institute for Medical Microbiology and the Chair of Infection Immunology. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing molecular biological and immunological analyses, such as DNA/RNA isolation, genotyping, and Real-Time PCR. You will also be tasked with the isolation and functional investigation of human and murine immune cells, including tissue preparation, immune cell characterization via flow cytometry, and cell separation using MACS technology. Beyond laboratory work, you will assist with administrative tasks like ordering supplies and help onboard new team members. The ideal candidate is a qualified BTA or MTA with a willingness to perform animal-based experimental work.
