PhD Candidate | Promotion (m/w/d)
Leibniz-Institut für Polymerforschung e. V.
Job Summary
The Leibniz Institute for Polymer Research (IPF) is seeking a PhD Candidate to join the Department of Functional Colloidal Materials within the Physical Chemistry and Polymer Physics division. In this role, you will focus on the component integration of MXene-based hybrid nanomaterials to manufacture microelectronic gas sensors using ink-based and photolithographic processes. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include sensor characterization through test gas exposure, electronic readout of sensor responses, and the processing, evaluation, and interpretation of complex sensor data, including multivariate analysis. You will also investigate transduction mechanisms. This position is ideal for a candidate with a background in chemistry, physics, nanoscience, or electrical engineering who is eager to work in an international, research-driven environment. The role offers the opportunity to contribute to material science innovations while pursuing a doctoral degree within a flexible, family-friendly research structure.
