Job Summary
The LUS GmbH, an environmental analytical laboratory, is seeking a Chemical Laboratory Technician or equivalent professional to join their team in Magdeburg or Hecklingen. In this role, you will focus on sample preparation for environmental testing, including soil, construction waste, sewage sludge, compost, and water samples. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve crushing, drying, weighing, and eluting solid samples, as well as filtering mixtures and performing extractions. You will also have the opportunity to train on advanced percolation methods and potentially assist with instrumental analysis and organic chemistry determinations. This position is unique because it is open to candidates with various scientific backgrounds, not just those with formal chemical training, as comprehensive on-the-job training is provided. We are looking for individuals with a quick learning aptitude, high resilience, and a strong sense of teamwork to contribute to our harmonious and busy laboratory environment.
Required Skills
Education
Completed education in a scientific or laboratory-related field (e.g., Chemical Laboratory Technician, Biology Technician, Environmental Technician, or equivalent).
Experience
- Professional experience in a scientific or laboratory environment is preferred but not strictly required.
- Demonstrated ability to work with standardized laboratory procedures and technical instructions.
- Experience with physical sample preparation or analytical workflows is considered an advantage.
- Proven capacity for rapid skill acquisition and learning new technical processes.
