Job Summary

This role involves conducting acceptance inspections for railway signaling and control systems (LST). You will lead inspection teams, evaluate technical systems against legal and safety regulations, and verify the proper use of hardware and software components. A key part of your day-to-day will be creating inspection reports and expert opinions, while providing technical consultancy to project engineers and site supervisors. This position is unique because it offers exposure to a wide range of technologies, from legacy systems like SpDr S 60 to modern solutions such as ESTW, DSTW, and ETCS. You will work in a collaborative, innovative environment that prioritizes professional development through internal and external training. Candidates must be highly structured, proactive, and capable of working independently while maintaining a strong team-oriented mindset. The role requires occasional work on-site, including nights or weekends as project demands dictate.

Required Skills

Education

Degree in Electrical Engineering or a comparable field. Mandatory recognition by the Federal Railway Authority (Eisenbahn-Bundesamt) as an Expert Inspector/Acceptance Inspector for Railway Signaling and Control Systems.

Experience

  • Professional experience in railway signaling and control systems engineering
  • Experience in leading inspection teams and managing organizational tasks

  • Proven ability to work independently and manage complex technical evaluations
