Job Summary
This role involves joining the Secondary Technology team at Westnetz GmbH in Recklinghausen to support the operation of protection, control, and remote control systems within the Ruhr region's high and medium-voltage power distribution network. The daily responsibilities include parameterization, maintenance, repair, and assembly of secondary technical equipment in stations up to 110 kV, as well as commissioning transformers, regulators, and alarm systems. You will also conduct measurements, tests, and support project planning tasks. The ideal candidate holds a qualification as a Master Electrician or Technician and demonstrates a strong interest in digital grid automation and networked systems. Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training in an electrical profession plus a recognized additional qualification as a Master Electrician (Meister) or Technician (Techniker) or currently in the process of obtaining one.
Experience
- Professional experience in an electrical engineering role
- Experience with electrical systems or operating equipment
- Experience in using measurement and testing devices
- Willingness to develop expertise in secondary technology if specific experience is lacking
