Job Summary

The Department of Experimental Pneumology at Hannover Medical School (MHH) is seeking a motivated PhD candidate to join their translational research team. This role focuses on the pathobiology of bacterial lung infections and chronic remodeling processes. The successful candidate will primarily conduct animal-based research using mouse models to investigate pulmonary immune defense mechanisms. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and executing experimental studies, applying advanced cell and molecular biology techniques, performing flow cytometry, and statistically analyzing complex datasets. You will be responsible for documenting experiments in compliance with animal welfare regulations and contributing to scientific publications. Required Skills

Education

Experience

  • Experience in flow cytometric analysis of leukocyte cell populations is desirable
  • Interest and readiness to work with animal models (mouse models of pneumonia)
