Job Summary

The Radiological Characterization Engineer will play a pivotal role in the decommissioning process at the Biblis nuclear facility. Your day-to-day responsibilities include planning and coordinating sampling activities, managing the sampling team, and conducting site inspections to define sampling points in collaboration with external experts. You will interpret laboratory gamma spectrometry results, assign clearance nuclide vectors, and manage the documentation required for the material clearance process. Additionally, you will contribute to the digitalization of the clearance procedure and ensure compliance with radiological standards. This role is ideal for an engineering professional with a background in natural sciences who thrives in a collaborative environment. You will work closely with authorities and experts, requiring strong communication skills and a systematic approach to technical data. Required Skills

Education

Completed degree in Engineering with a focus on natural sciences.

Experience

  • Professional experience in the decommissioning of nuclear facilities is highly desirable.
  • Experience in planning and coordinating technical sampling processes.
  • Experience in interpreting analytical laboratory data and radiological reporting.
  • Professional experience in managing relationships with regulatory authorities and external experts.
