Job Summary

As a Tunnel Operations Engineer, you will be a key player in ensuring the smooth and safe operation of tunnels and pumping stations across North Rhine-Westphalia. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve leading a small team, overseeing maintenance and repair activities for complex traffic, electrical, and mechanical systems, and managing related contracts. You'll also be involved in the software and hardware support of remote monitoring systems and supervising construction projects for new installations and retrofits. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to critical infrastructure, ensuring mobility for the region, and requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and collaboration with various stakeholders.

Required Skills

Education

Degree in Electrical Engineering (Diplom(FH)/Bachelor) or qualification for civil service career group 2, first entry-level in technical service.

Experience

  • At least two years of practical experience in technical service (comparable to German civil service career group 2, first entry-level) or equivalent
  • Professional experience in technical building equipment, preferably tunnel equipment
  • Professional experience in public procurement law
