As a Scientific Researcher at the Bavarian State Office of Criminal Investigation (BLKA) in Munich, you will work within the Document Technology department. Your daily responsibilities include conducting chemical laboratory analyses, utilizing advanced equipment such as GC-MS, performing forensic examinations of documents and digital security elements using microscopy and spectroscopy, and preparing expert reports for court proceedings. You will also manage evidence intake and output, and maintain professional correspondence with police and judicial authorities. Required Skills
Education
Bachelor's degree or Diploma (University of Applied Sciences) in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Physical Chemistry, Physics, Technical Physics, Biology, Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a comparable scientific field.
Experience
- Professional experience in chemical sample preparation
- Professional experience in the operation of gas chromatographs
- Professional experience in the use of light microscopes and spectrometers

- Valid Class B driver's license required. Willingness to travel within Bavaria. Must be willing to undergo a police background check and security clearance. Position is based in Munich.
