Job Summary

As a Data Center Innovation Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technical strategy and infrastructure design for T-Systems' international data centers. Your day-to-day responsibilities include conducting market analysis on emerging technology trends, managing innovation projects from conception to implementation, and testing new solutions in our dedicated innovation laboratory in Magdeburg-Biere. You will collaborate with international teams, academic institutions, and industry partners to drive sustainability and energy efficiency initiatives. The role requires a blend of deep technical expertise in power and cooling systems, strategic business acumen, and the ability to present complex technical findings to management boards. This position is unique because it sits at the intersection of hands-on engineering, strategic consulting, and industry-leading research, offering the chance to influence global data center standards.

Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree or vocational training in Electrical Engineering, Refrigeration Technology, Construction Engineering, or a comparable field.

Experience

  • 5+ years of professional experience in a technical environment.
  • Extensive professional experience in data center infrastructure, specifically power and cooling systems.
  • Long-term experience working within international or intercultural environments.
  • Substantial experience in strategic project consulting and complex process management.
  • Proven experience in customer relationship management and high-level stakeholder negotiations.
