Job Summary
The City of Wittingen is seeking a dedicated Civil Engineering Technician to join the Department of Environment and Civil Engineering. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of municipal road and civil engineering projects, including streets, pathways, squares, and bridge structures. Your day-to-day tasks will involve planning, tendering, execution, and final accounting, as well as coordinating with various authorities and utility providers. You will also contribute to urban land-use planning and represent the department in political committee meetings. This position offers a secure, permanent, full-time role within the public sector, providing a collaborative team environment, flexible working hours, and the opportunity for mobile work. Candidates should possess a strong background in construction site management, procurement regulations (VOB/HOAI), and relevant technical software to successfully deliver municipal infrastructure projects.
Required Skills
Education
State-certified Civil Engineering Technician (staatlich geprüfter Tiefbautechniker) or equivalent qualification.
Experience
- Professional experience in civil and road construction preferred
- Practical experience in construction management, site supervision, and organization
- Experience in the preparation of bills of quantities, contract awarding, and project accounting
Languages
Additional
- Valid Class B driver's license required. Must be able to attend and prepare for political committee meetings. Role requires adherence to public sector administrative procedures and regulations.
