Job Summary

The NLWKN in Stade is seeking a Civil Engineer to join their 'Planning and Construction' division, focusing on specialized coastal protection structures. In this role, you will manage the planning, tendering, and construction supervision of critical infrastructure, including dikes, sluices, and pumping stations. You will serve as a project engineer within a specialized team, ensuring the structural integrity and modernization of flood protection systems along the Lower Elbe. Key responsibilities include managing external engineering service providers, coordinating with regulatory authorities, and overseeing construction phases in accordance with HOAI and VOB standards. This position is ideal for a professional with a background in structural engineering who is motivated by large-scale, technically challenging infrastructure projects that directly contribute to climate adaptation and public safety. Required Skills

Education

Degree in Civil Engineering (Dipl.-Ing. (FH) or Bachelor's degree) or a comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Long-term professional experience in structural engineering
  • Practical experience in construction site management and supervision
  • Experience in planning and executing construction projects
  • Experience in preparing and conducting European-wide public tenders (advantageous)

  • Valid Class B driver's license required. Willingness to operate a company vehicle. Must meet C1 German language proficiency requirements for non-native speakers.
