Job Summary

Join the Robert Koch Institute to support critical health research at the intersection of animal husbandry and laboratory science. As a Technical Assistant, you will manage the technical operations of new immunological laboratory areas up to BSL-3. Your day-to-day responsibilities include conceptualizing laboratory setups, managing budgets and personnel resources, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards through rigorous documentation and risk assessments. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as a Technical Assistant (CTA, BTA, MTA, or VMTA) with state recognition or a comparable qualification. Foreign qualifications require proof of equivalence to a German degree.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience with molecular biological and immunological techniques.
  • Relevant experience in organizational tasks within a scientific environment, including budget, personnel, and laboratory management.
  • Experience in animal experimental work with rodents (EU Function A/FELASA B or equivalent) is highly desirable.
  • Experience working with infectious agents is desirable.
