As a Process and Application Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the IT landscape within the aerospace sector at Diehl Aerospace. Your primary responsibility involves evaluating software demands from engineering and production departments to identify synergies and minimize application redundancy. You will act as a bridge between business units and IT, managing the full lifecycle of IT projects—from initial requirement gathering and scope definition to resource planning, budget management, and final implementation. Success in this role requires strong communication skills, as you will lead steering committees, facilitate workshops, and manage stakeholders across various technical and business domains. You will ensure technical quality, compliance, and seamless integration into operational environments. This position is ideal for an experienced IT professional who excels in project management, possesses a deep understanding of IT infrastructure, and is motivated by the challenge of optimizing complex enterprise systems in an innovative, high-stakes industry.

Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as an IT specialist (Fachinformatiker) with extensive experience, or a university degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in IT project management, ideally within an enterprise environment.
  • Professional experience in application consulting and requirement engineering.
  • Proven track record of managing projects from initial requirement gathering to go-live.
  • Experience in coordinating with diverse cross-functional teams including IT security, architecture, and operations.
