Job Summary
As a Senior Software Engineer focused on Agentic AI, you will lead the transformation toward an AI-native Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) at BMW. Your day-to-day work involves designing and building AI-driven engineering toolchains, agentic systems, and context engineering strategies to enhance developer productivity. You will operate automated feedback loops, ensure system quality through rigorous evaluation and guardrails, and coach engineering teams on adopting these advanced workflows. This role is unique as it sits at the intersection of cutting-edge AI and automotive software engineering, offering the chance to shape how software is built across a global organization. You will collaborate internationally, drive knowledge exchange, and contribute to roadmap planning using data-driven insights. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in software engineering, hands-on experience with agentic systems like LangGraph, and a passion for scaling AI-native development practices to improve software quality and speed.
Required Skills
Education
University degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, or a comparable field.
Experience
- At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience in developing high-quality production software.
- Professional experience with AI coding assistants and agentic workflows.
- Hands-on experience designing, building, and operating agentic systems including evaluation and quality assurance.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, toolchain automation, and containerized development environments.
- Experience collaborating across multiple teams and international locations to drive technical adoption.
- Experience with data-driven decision-making, defining metrics, and running experiments.
