Job Summary
This role is based in the Human Genetics and Molecular Genetics department at the Campus Virchow-Klinikum in Berlin. The successful candidate will focus on the clinical interpretation and reporting of complex molecular genetic datasets to support the diagnosis of hereditary diseases. Key day-to-day responsibilities include evaluating sequence variants, utilizing advanced laboratory technologies such as NGS, Sanger, and MLPA, and working with specialized software like the Varvis® analysis pipeline. You will operate within an accredited, interdisciplinary laboratory environment, ensuring high-quality diagnostic standards. Required Skills
Education
Master's degree and PhD (mandatory) in Biology, Biomedicine, or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of professional experience in human genetic diagnostics and clinical reporting
- Professional experience in molecular genetic methodologies including NGS, Sanger, and MLPA
- Experience in the application and development of bioinformatic analysis pipelines
