Job Summary
The Lower Saxony State Office for Consumer Protection and Food Safety (LAVES) is seeking a Food Chemist for a 6-month project-based role in Braunschweig. In this position, you will play a critical role in the Basic Analytics and Homogenization department by consolidating and standardizing analytical methods and Quality Management (QM) documentation. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include evaluating data for method validation and verification, updating QM documentation, drafting new occupational safety protocols, and developing structured workflows for the homogenization process. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who excels at working both independently and within interdisciplinary teams. You will contribute to vital public health consumer protection efforts in a supportive, flexible, and professional environment. The position requires a strong sense of responsibility, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage time-sensitive workflows effectively.
Required Skills
Education
University degree in Food Chemistry and successful completion of the 2nd State Examination (2. Staatsexamen).
Experience
- Professional experience in food chemistry and basic analytics
- Experience with quality management systems according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 is highly desirable
