Job Summary
The City of Groß-Gerau is seeking a Network Administrator to join their IT department on a two-year fixed-term contract. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, administration, and maintenance of the city's network and telecommunications infrastructure. You will ensure high availability of LAN and WLAN systems, manage building cabling projects, and perform hardware roll-outs. A key part of your day-to-day work involves troubleshooting system issues, managing tickets, and maintaining technical documentation. You will also provide support within the helpdesk when needed and conduct on-site visits to various municipal properties. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise in Cisco network environments and Siemens/Unify telecommunications systems. You should possess a structured, service-oriented approach to problem-solving and be capable of managing multiple requirements effectively. Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training as an IT Specialist (Fachinformatiker) or Systems Electronics Technician (Systemelektroniker), or equivalent professional qualification.
Experience
- Professional experience as a qualified IT specialist (Fachinformatiker) or Systems Electronics Technician
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in the specified field if not holding the aforementioned specific degrees
- Practical experience with ticket systems, incident documentation, and knowledge base management
- Proven experience with Cisco networking and Siemens/Unify telecommunications systems
- Experience in the administration and configuration of certificate-based client authentication (802.1x)

- Valid Class B driver's license required; willingness to use a private vehicle for business trips is preferred; for foreign degrees, a minimum language level of C1 is required.
