Job Summary

As a Facility Manager (HFM) at the Bundesanstalt für Immobilienaufgaben (BImA), you will play a pivotal role in managing a complex portfolio of federal properties, including ministries, research facilities, and security agency buildings. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve overseeing technical operations, ensuring facility safety, and maintaining high availability of systems. You will act as the primary representative for the owner, coordinating with tenants, external contractors, and planners. A key focus of this role is planning sustainable building operations, managing maintenance budgets, and executing procurement processes for facility services. You will be responsible for creating service specifications and steering external service providers. Required Skills

Education

Completed technical university degree (Dipl.-Ing. / Bachelor) in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering (TGA), or Facility Management.

Experience

  • 3+ years of practical experience in technical facility management and operating technical systems
  • Professional experience in managing procurement processes including creating service specifications and descriptions
  • Experience in applying relevant German construction and procurement regulations (HOAI, VOB, VOL, UVgO)

Languages

German (Fluent)

Additional

  • Valid driver's license (Class B/3), willingness to travel for business and training, successful completion of a federal security clearance (SÜG) is a mandatory requirement for the position.
