The Emsland Group is seeking a Team Leader for Patent Management & Regulatory Affairs to join their headquarters in Emlichheim. In this role, you will lead a small team and oversee the strategic management of intellectual property and regulatory compliance. Your day-to-day responsibilities include ensuring adherence to food and product laws, managing patent portfolios, and monitoring competitor activities. You will act as a key liaison between R&D, Sales, and Marketing, integrating regulatory requirements into early development phases to accelerate innovation. Additionally, you will manage relationships with external patent attorneys and represent the company in international industry bodies. This position is ideal for a scientific professional with a background in chemistry or food science who possesses strong leadership skills and a strategic mindset. Required Skills
Education
Master's degree or PhD in Chemistry, Food Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a comparable scientific field.
Experience
- Several years of professional experience in regulatory affairs and patent management
- Experience in an industrial environment, ideally within the food, chemical, or consumer goods industry
- Experience in collaborating with external patent attorneys and regulatory authorities
- Demonstrated leadership experience in a professional team setting
