Job Summary

The Mannheim University of Applied Sciences is seeking a PhD Candidate for a research project focused on autonomous, calibration-free process optimization of chemical syntheses in microreactors. This role involves designing an automated laboratory setup, implementing optimization algorithms, and utilizing online analytical platforms like UV/Vis spectroscopy. You will work at the intersection of academic research and industry, utilizing Multivariate Curve Resolution (MCR) and the Fisher Information Matrix (FIM) to optimize experimental efficiency. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and conducting microreactor experiments, building test rigs, adapting data evaluation algorithms, and mentoring students.
