Job Summary

This role is for a Heat Transfer Engineer within the Advanced Concept Group, focusing on developing new aero-thermal technologies for gas turbine designs. The successful candidate will work independently and collaboratively with a multidisciplinary, international team to advance technologies for specific features or entire sections within the turbine area. Key responsibilities include implementing new technologies into test articles, collaborating with manufacturing and test engineers for production and testing in real engine environments, and post-processing test results to validate design tools. The role requires close cooperation with other engineering disciplines, manufacturing, and internal product teams to integrate developed technologies into products like gas turbine components. This position offers continuous learning and development through diverse tasks, application of expertise, innovative thinking, and participation in specialized training.

Required Skills

Education

University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Materials Engineering with a focus on Thermomechanics

Experience

  • Professional experience in turbomachinery, fluid systems, or similar applications
  • Several years of experience with the development and application of aerothermal CFD methods

Additional

  • Understanding of turbine part manufacturing processes is an advantage.
