Job Summary
The Materials Tester / Metallographer will perform independent metallographic examinations and mechanical-technological material tests, specifically focusing on fiber-reinforced composites (CFK/GFK). Daily responsibilities include sample preparation (grinding and polishing), microscopic evaluation, and the documentation of test results through detailed protocols. You will operate computer-controlled equipment, create testing instructions, and support quality assurance audits. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys working in a team environment and is comfortable handling chemicals and hazardous materials. Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training as a Materials Tester, Materials Technician, Metallographer, or equivalent qualification.
Experience
- Professional experience in destructive materials testing or metallography
- Experience with static and dynamic mechanical testing methods is preferred
- Experience in fiber-reinforced composite technology (CFK/GFK) is preferred
- Experience in mobile (on-site) metallography is preferred
