Job Summary

As a Project Engineer for Control and Signaling Technology at DB InfraGO AG in Leipzig, you will play a pivotal role in the modernization of railway infrastructure. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve managing the planning, implementation, and commissioning of signaling systems, including electronic interlocking (ESTW) and ETCS equipment for existing rail lines. You will serve as the primary technical interface between planning offices, construction firms, and regulatory authorities, ensuring projects meet strict quality, cost, and timeline targets. Key requirements include a degree in engineering (Electrical, Automation, Railway, or related fields) and professional experience in managing infrastructure projects, including knowledge of procurement regulations (VOB/HOAI). Required Skills

Education

University degree in Railway Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Telecommunications, Automation Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a comparable field.

Experience

  • Professional experience in project management within the railway infrastructure sector
  • Experience in the procurement and awarding of engineering and construction contracts
  • Experience working with regulatory authorities such as the EBA (Federal Railway Authority)
  • Technical experience in signaling, interlocking, or 50Hz power systems
