Job Summary

The Dienstleistungszentrum Ländlicher Raum (DLR) Rheinpfalz is seeking a Research Associate to join the Weincampus team in Neustadt an der Weinstraße. This position is part of a federally funded project focused on sustainable plant protection and the long-term preservation of Peronospora resistance in PIWI grape varieties. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include conducting independent laboratory and greenhouse experiments to analyze plant defense reactions and the influence of environmental factors on P. viticola. You will also participate in field trials, document and interpret research findings, and present your work at scientific conferences. The ideal candidate holds a Master’s degree or equivalent in Biology, Agricultural Science, or Viticulture and possesses deep knowledge of plant pathology, plant physiology, and molecular biology.
