Job Summary

As a Biostatistician / Data Scientist at Roche Diagnostics, you will join an interdisciplinary R&D team focused on developing new systems, assays, and digital solutions. Your day-to-day work involves planning and evaluating key experiments using statistical methods, developing algorithms, and creating mathematical models to optimize diagnostic product performance. You will manage complex data, maintain R-server configurations, and provide tailored analytical solutions to internal project teams. Additionally, you will mentor students and contribute to ongoing process improvements. This role is ideal for a professional with a strong background in mathematics, statistics, or natural sciences who is eager to apply advanced modeling and simulation techniques in a mission-driven healthcare environment. You will work closely with assay development and system integration teams, ensuring that your data-driven insights directly contribute to the efficacy and success of life-changing diagnostic products. Required Skills

Education

Master's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or Natural Sciences (Biology, Physics, Chemistry); PhD is considered an asset.

Experience

  • Professional experience in biostatistical methods within an industrial setting
