Job Summary
This role within the Urban Development department involves managing and analyzing spatial data to support city planning, land management, and infrastructure projects. You will be responsible for conducting spatial analyses, creating professional maps and data visualizations, and maintaining standardized CAD layouts. A key focus of this position is the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into urban planning processes to ensure future-ready infrastructure and land management. You will work within an experienced team, translating complex spatial data into clear, decision-relevant presentations and documentation. Ideal candidates bring a background in geography, urban planning, or technical drafting, along with practical experience in GIS and CAD applications. Required Skills
Education
Bachelor's degree in Geography, Spatial/Environmental Planning, Land Management, or completed vocational training as a Geomatics Technician, Surveying Technician, Technical Draftsperson, or IT Specialist.
Experience
- Professional experience in a GIS environment including data maintenance and cartography
- Experience with CAD applications and technical drawing standards
- Experience in preparing and presenting spatial data for professional or public audiences
