Job Summary
As a Senior Radiation Engineer at Mynaric, you will play a critical role in enabling high-speed laser communication by ensuring the resilience of satellite and aerospace systems against space radiation. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve conducting radiation testing and analysis, modeling radiation effects, and providing technical guidance to design and system engineering teams. You will coordinate radiation test campaigns across the EU and USA, manage test documentation, and participate in critical design reviews (PDRs/CDRs). The ideal candidate brings a strong background in physics or electrical engineering and extensive experience with radiation simulation tools and industry-standard testing protocols. This position is unique because you will contribute to cutting-edge laser communication technology that aims to connect the world from space, working in an international, fast-paced environment that values innovation and technical excellence.
Required Skills
Education
Master's degree or higher in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Experience
- 5+ years of professional experience in radiation effects analysis.
- Experience in modeling and analyzing radiation effects using industry-standard simulation tools.
- Experience in developing and executing test procedures according to military and space standards.
- Experience in data evaluation and post-processing of test results.
- Experience in classifying or qualifying EEE components according to NASA standards is preferred.
