Job Summary

The GSI - Gesellschaft für Schweißtechnik International mbH is seeking a dedicated Metallographer or Materials Testing Engineer to join their accredited laboratory at the SLV Hannover branch. In this role, you will perform independent preparation and evaluation of macro and micro-sections of base materials, as well as welded and soldered joints, ensuring compliance with relevant testing standards. Your daily responsibilities include conducting hardness testing, assisting in the metallographic investigation of damage cases, and managing various measurement tasks within the materials testing department. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in materials science, proficiency in microstructure assessment, and holds a VT2 certification for non-destructive testing.
