Job Summary

As the Head of Material Testing and Ceramic Laboratory at Qantal Hydro, you will play a pivotal role in scaling a revolutionary photocatalytic process for green hydrogen production. Based in Dresden, you will lead the end-to-end manufacturing process of functional ceramics, from initial formulation to final production batches. Your day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating coating processes with external partners, performing rigorous quality assessments, and documenting production metrics to drive continuous process optimization. You will also provide technical leadership to laboratory staff, ensuring scientific precision and operational excellence. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional who combines deep scientific expertise with a pragmatic, startup-oriented mindset. You will work within a specialized, interdisciplinary team, contributing directly to the disruption of the energy sector. Required Skills

Education

University degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or a related scientific field.

Experience

  • 5-10 years of professional experience in ceramic or glass technology
  • Professional experience in process engineering
  • Experience in project-based, interdisciplinary working environments
  • Experience in leading or guiding laboratory personnel
