Job Summary

The State Criminal Police Office of Baden-Württemberg is seeking a dedicated laboratory technician to join the Crime Scene Investigation unit in Stuttgart. In this role, you will be responsible for the detection, collection, and documentation of forensic evidence at crime scenes and within the laboratory. Your daily duties include preparing chemical solutions for evidence preservation, maintaining laboratory equipment and crime scene vehicles, and preparing detailed reports. You will also participate in preparing and conducting training sessions. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as a Chemical Technical Assistant (CTA), Biological Technical Assistant (BTA), Biotechnological Assistant, or Medical Laboratory Assistant (MTA).

Experience

  • Professional experience in chemical, biological, or medical laboratory environments
  • Previous experience in forensic technology is considered an advantage
  • Experience in working with technical equipment and maintaining operational readiness

  • Must pass a security clearance check (Landessicherheitsüberprüfungsgesetz). High physical and mental resilience required. Willingness to work outside regular business hours. Valid for applicants with a completed relevant technical education.
