Job Summary

As a technical all-rounder at this startup, you will take end-to-end responsibility for the development and scaling of a control unit for the Digital Automatic Coupler (DAK) in the European freight transport sector. Your daily responsibilities involve the full product lifecycle: from gathering customer requirements and defining architecture to implementation, testing, and documentation. You will act as a hands-on leader, working directly with hardware and software, making critical architectural decisions, and solving complex technical issues in the field. This role is unique because it offers significant creative freedom, minimal bureaucracy, and direct exposure to real-world systems and customers. You will work alongside an experienced development team to drive a product that is already in use and poised to transform the industry. We are looking for a pragmatic problem-solver who is comfortable operating with incomplete information, takes full ownership of the system, and can bridge the gap between deep technical implementation and customer-facing requirements.
