Job Summary

As a Data Engineer within the Data, Security & Identity business field, you will join the 'Data Ignite' squad to drive the digital transformation of the cooperative financial group. You will hold full-stack responsibility for developing, automating, and maintaining a scalable hybrid cloud data platform. Your daily activities involve building robust data pipelines, managing on-premises infrastructure using Docker and OpenShift, and designing cloud solutions on Databricks. A significant portion of the role includes direct collaboration with banking clients to integrate data and deploy production-ready solutions on their specific environments. This position is ideal for professionals who enjoy a mix of platform architecture, infrastructure-as-code with Terraform, and hands-on pipeline orchestration. You will work in an agile, cross-functional team of eight colleagues across locations like Karlsruhe or Münster. The role offers high flexibility with options for part-time work (from 30 hours) and a strong focus on professional development within a stable, innovation-driven banking IT environment.

Required Skills

Education

Degree in (Business) Informatics, Mathematics, or a comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in the field of Data Engineering
  • Extensive experience in developing and orchestrating data pipelines with tools like Apache Airflow
  • Practical experience in containerized environments such as Docker and OpenShift
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure providers and Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform
  • Proven track record in developing on Databricks platforms including Delta Lake and Unity Catalog
  • Experience in client-facing roles or consulting-adjacent situations
