Job Summary

This role involves serving as a functional expert for process analysis systems within the chemical industry, ensuring maximum availability and strategic optimization of analytical equipment. You will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and further development of process gas chromatographs and liquid analyzers. Day-to-day tasks include performing plausibility checks, reapplying existing chromatographs, and conducting root cause analyses (RCA) to solve complex plant issues. You will collaborate closely with production, process engineering, and external service providers to manage investment projects, from scope creation to commissioning and staff training. This position is ideal for technical experts who enjoy a mix of hands-on maintenance, project planning, and system documentation. Required Skills

Education

State-certified Technician, Master Craftsman (Meister), or equivalent degree preferably in Electrical Engineering or Automation Technology; Additional training in Gas Chromatography is an advantage.

Experience

  • 5 years in the maintenance of (petro-) chemical industrial plants, specifically plants subject to major accident regulations
  • Professional experience in planning and implementing reliability and integrity measures
  • Professional experience in deriving safety requirements from risk assessments
  • Extensive experience handling gas chromatographs and analytical equipment in a petrochemical context
  • Experience working within an international matrix organization
