Job Summary
This role involves managing gamma spectrometry analysis projects from initial sample receipt through to the final generation of test reports. As a Physical-Technical Assistant, you will be responsible for the preparation, measurement, and evaluation of complex spectra within an accredited laboratory environment. Key responsibilities include commissioning new analytical and laboratory management software, validating systems according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 standards, and developing innovative automation processes for gamma spectrometry. You will also play a critical role in quality assurance, performing detector calibrations and maintaining quality management documentation. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys technical precision and working within a high-level research environment. Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training as a Physical-Technical Assistant (PhyTA), Physics Laboratory Technician, or Chemistry Laboratory Technician.
Experience
- Long-term professional experience in a relevant technical or laboratory field
- Practical experience in conducting measurements, analysis, and data evaluation
- Professional experience with radiation measurement technology and safety standards
- Experience working within an ISO-accredited laboratory environment is preferred
