Job Summary

As an Electrical Design Engineer specializing in 50 Hz systems, you will be responsible for the comprehensive planning and design of low and medium-voltage installations for rail, road, and industrial infrastructure projects. Your daily activities will involve performing critical load, short-circuit, and selectivity calculations, as well as designing lighting systems with technical light calculations. You will also conceptualize grounding, equipotential bonding, and lightning protection systems, alongside dimensioning switch heating systems. The role covers all HOAI planning phases, requiring a blend of technical calculation and interdisciplinary coordination. Required Skills

Education

Degree in Electrical Engineering or a comparable technical qualification.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in 50 Hz electrical planning specifically for rail or infrastructure projects.
  • Practical experience in the design and implementation of MS/NS systems, lighting, and lightning protection.
  • Proven experience using industry-standard calculation tools such as DIALux, Relux, Simaris, or Caneco.
  • Experience with Deutsche Bahn (DB) projects and familiarity with DB guidelines and processes is preferred.
  • Professional experience working within interdisciplinary project teams.
