PhD Student - 2-Photon Lithography for 3D Tissue Models | Doktorand/in (m/w/d) – 2-Photonen-Lithographie für 3D-Gewebemodelle
Institut für Bioprozess- u Analysenmesstechnik e.V.
Job Summary
This doctoral position at the Institute for Bioprocess and Analytical Measurement Techniques (iba) focuses on establishing a 'Tumor-on-a-Chip' model to advance medical and biotechnological research. As a PhD candidate, you will spend your days designing and creating 3D support structures using 2-photon and nanoimprint lithography within microfluidic chambers. You will be responsible for the cultivation of 3D tissue models and their subsequent characterization using advanced tools like confocal microscopy, AFM, and SEM. A key part of the role involves utilizing AI-supported image analysis to interpret experimental data. This position is ideal for researchers looking to work at the intersection of biophysics and engineering within a highly interdisciplinary and internationally networked environment. The role offers the opportunity to contribute to high-level scientific literature and present findings at international conferences, supported by a collaborative team and flexible working conditions.
