This leadership position involves overseeing the IT Governance department, where you will manage multiple teams including Projects & Processes, Administration, and specialized staff roles like IT Architects and License Coordinators. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include planning and controlling IT projects, managing the IT budget, and ensuring that all IT processes comply with legal requirements and internal frameworks. You will act as a critical interface between departmental leadership and other business units, advising on IT strategy and emerging technology trends. The role is particularly attractive due to its high level of independence and responsibility within the public sector of the Hanseatic City of Lübeck. Required Skills

Education

University degree (Master's level) in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Public Administration, Mathematics, Physics, Communications Engineering, or a comparable engineering/scientific field.

Experience

  • Professional experience in managing IT projects and process optimization
  • Proven experience in IT Service Management and implementing governance frameworks
  • Experience in business administration and economic thinking
  • Experience with IT procurement and drafting technical specifications is preferred
